Aviratha constructed a Govt. primary school at Shalignoor village of Gangavathi taluk which was grossly affected by floods. The entire village was shifted to a higher place to avoid risk of future flooding. Aviratha built a new school at shifted village at cost of Rs 15 Lakh. This school was designed differently from other Govt. schools, so as to suit regional weather conditions and provide better study environment. Undoubtedly this ‘AVIRATHA PRIMARY SCHOOL, SHALIGNOOR stands unique among all schools in that district.
